Weighted Stopper (Tilt Stopper)
As used in our 18 note paperweights. A small brass cylindrical device
that attaches under one of the comb fixing screws. When the movement
is tilted to the left the brass cylinder slides over to touch the
speed governor and stops the movement from playing. When the movement
is tilted to the right the cylinder slides away and releases the
movement to play.
One washer is provided to go between the bracket & movement comb
to ensure the bracket does not foul the comb teeth when plucked.
*You may need more than one washer on certain movements to bring the
bracket in line with the speed governor & clear from any obstacle
on the movement - extra washers can be ordered below if required.
*These are only suitable for 18, 22 & 36 note size movements.
